Art-Tism

Community Event

A play on the words Art and Autism, Art-Tism is a FREE Sensory-friendly interactive art exhibit displaying the work of children on the Spectrum. The event is on Saturday, April 27 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Families have the opportunity to learn, create and engage with their peers in room divided into four arts and crafts sections:

  • Legoland – the intricate art of using fine motor skills and tiny building blocks to create from imagination.
  • Color Me Blue – using traditional techniques of crayons, pencils, and markers to bring a picture to life.
  • PlayDohVille – molding, carving, and sculpting to make creations from clay.
  • Paint the Town Red – a technique of taking your imagination to canvas using soft brush strokes and wet materials.

Location: Sam Pannell Community Center
2450 Meadowview Rd., Sacramento, CA 95832

Alta California Regional Center will host a resource table at this event.

How you can support Art-Tism:

  • Donating art supplies. Legos, Markers, Playdoh, Paper and Canvases etc. Art-Tism also accepts financial donations through their Amazon Wish list, CashApp, and GoFundMe.
  • Volunteering for the event. Art-Tism needs helping hands; from displaying the wide range of art pieces from our gifted artists to greeting people at the door and helping them get acquainted with the interactive element of the program.
  • Submitting your art. Parents and guardians may submit the Art of Children on the Spectrum that includes Lego displays, paintings, drawings, colorings, and Playdoh creations.
