Mayday! Don’t Delay!

Join the Capitol Coalition, California Community Living Network, and more for a rally on Tuesday, May 21 at 10:00 am to STOP the DELAY in rate increases that is currently in statute to occur on July 1. In January, Governor Gavin Newsom proposed budget rate increases be delayed one year. We must come together to rally against the delay to continue to support the staff and direct support professionals who are fundamental to the service delivery system for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Service Providers are invited to attend an informational session on May 8 at 10:00 am to discuss the new service code 956, Coordinated Career Pathways (CCP). We will discuss what CCP is, service code requirements, and vendor eligibility. Please note that this meeting is for vendors only. Information will be shared with clients and family at a future date.

Families, self-advocates, and professionals are invited to attend the Supported Life Institute Statewide Self-Advocacy Conference! This two-day in person event on May 17 and May 18 features guest speakers, sessions that share knowledge and information, and a talent show. 2024 FEAT Walk and Carnival

Now Scheduled for June 1, 2024

Join Families for Early Autism Treatment (FEAT) for their 2024 FEAT Walk and Carnival, now scheduled for June 1, 2024. If you registered for the April 13 date and/or gathered donations, or sponsored 2024 FEAT Walk, everything remains in place for the new June 1 event date.

The 2024 FEAT Walk raises funds for FEAT to keep helping families access new, exciting and creative resources. Enjoy live music, fun booth activities, 2k nature walk/run, face painting, and more!

Self-Determination Advisory Committee Meeting

The Self-Determination Advisory Committee (SDAC) plays an important role in the implementation and oversight of the Self Determination Program. Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) and the SDAC work collaboratively to prioritize the use of implementation funds to meet the needs of participants in our catchment area. SDAC membership is comprised of clients, family members and community members appointed by ACRC and the State Council on Developmental Disabilities.

Resources, Education, and Advocacy for Children

REACh sponsors support groups for families of children with special needs. Their support groups are designed to help families connect with other caregivers in similar situations. Families with children of all ages and abilities are welcome.
