Lyndsey

Succeeding at Work

Post

Lyndsey is proud to work on the onsite laundry service for Thunder Valley Casino and Resort as an employee of PRIDE Industries. She began her position in 2020, during the pandemic which required a very intensive cleaning service for all the linens the hotel guests use. Even now, the cleaning process is extensive, and the quality checks required to ensure the freshest of linens are something Lyndsey diligently adheres to.

Since Thunder Valley is a 4-star hotel, they boast having their laundry service “in-house.” They approached PRIDE Industries about contracting with them for the work. Each client who works in the laundry room upholds themselves to a high standard in the work they do. Lyndsey is not an exception to this standard, and she enjoys the work she does, especially when she is managing the fast-paced workload the washing machines require.

Work has brought Lyndsey friends and time for socialization along with income. Even after undergoing rigorous training when she was first hired to understand the machinery and chemicals she would work with, she always felt happy in the job. Although Lyndsey does feel waking up super early to begin her 5:00 am shift can be difficult, she still wouldn’t change her job.

Outside of work, Lyndsey enjoys her weekly grocery shopping trips with her mother. When they aren’t grocery shopping, Lyndsey spends time at home with her mother, and her son who is almost 18 years old. She feels happy with the life she has built for herself and is glad to continue her service with PRIDE Industries.
